As the name suggests this crutch consists of concentric tubular sections designed to slide into one another. Thus, making the crutch much smaller in size and easier to stow away when needed, without compromising on stability and style extended. Because of the above reasons the Telescopic Crutch is a great choice when you are likely to be sat for prolonged periods of time or travelling.
Our Choice of Telescopic Crutch is the artfully designed QuickStep.
This stylish, sturdy and supportive crutch is not only innovative with its ‘Push Button Programmable Adjustment’, it is also imaginative in its gently curving design.
The QuickStep is very easy to set at your desired height and after the initial setting, the memory system allows the crutch to be compressed or extended back to the user’s height. When compressed the crutch shrinks to an impressive 28 inches, making it a firm favourite to travel with. The QuickStep will fit in to most suitcases and in the overhead compartments on a plane without difficulty.
Due to its size when compressed this crutch is also great for meals out and trips to the cinema/theatre as it can be stowed away under the chairs/tables with ease.
The top rims of each cuff include a clever three point ‘Kick Stand’. This enables the crutch to stand vertically when placed on the ground invertedly. Whilst in this position the QuickStep is easy to reach and less of a tripping hazard to others.
The cuffs are front opening and hold the crutch on to the arm even when reaching. They are made of durable Nylon, however are stiff in the rear where they cradle the forearm and provide great lateral support.
The handgrips are ergonomically designed to fit left and right hands, individually giving comfortable support. Each QuickStep weighs 2Ib and are rated for users up to 260Ib. They will extend to a full 47 inches long, so will fit users from 4’8 to 6’4 tall.
Unfortunately, at the moment the production of the QuickStep has ceased, however as soon as these become available again we will have them in stock.
